For day 28 of my “31 of World-wide Flavors” collection, dietitian and friend Christy Wilson talks about her enjoy for mangos!

Mangos

Christy’s number one particular world wide taste is mango. It has a tropical, citrus taste that is so juicy and refreshing. Mangos are a minimal bitter, a very little sweet, and a large amount delightful! Mangos are quite versatile and can be eaten by themselves, blended with other fruits, greens, grains and herbs, or muddled or blended into beverages and desserts. I love eating magos as a dessert or snack with a tiny included lime juice and my most loved chili lime seasoning, Tajin. As a treat, I puree fresh new mango and make it into paletas (frozen pops)! I found that, in particular when my young ones have been younger, this was a pleasurable way to supply my little ones fruit and they beloved it! I also like mixing diced fresh mango with cucumber, jicama and a very little cilantro for a sweet, fresh and crunchy combo. Here’s my recipe for Mango Chile Limon Paletas (frozen pops)– delight in!
