31 Days of Worldwide Flavors for Nationwide Nourishment Month: Day 28

For day 28 of my “31 of World-wide Flavors” collection, dietitian and friend Christy Wilson talks about her enjoy for mangos!

Christy’s number one particular world wide taste is mango. It has a tropical, citrus taste that is so juicy and refreshing. Mangos are a minimal bitter, a very little sweet, and a large amount delightful! There are always a few kinds of mangos in year all calendar year prolonged so I can constantly obtain it at my local grocery keep. Mangos contain fiber, which is great for intestine well being and allows us really feel full and satisfied, and they contain over 20 distinct natural vitamins and minerals which include nutritional vitamins A and C.

Mangos are quite versatile and can be eaten by themselves, blended with other fruits, greens, grains and herbs, or muddled or blended into beverages and desserts. I love eating magos as a dessert or snack with a tiny included lime juice and my most loved chili lime seasoning, Tajin. As a treat, I puree fresh new mango and make it into paletas (frozen pops)! I found that, in particular when my young ones have been younger, this was a pleasurable way to supply my little ones fruit and they beloved it! I also like mixing diced fresh mango with cucumber, jicama and a very little cilantro for a sweet, fresh and crunchy combo. Here’s my recipe for Mango Chile Limon Paletas (frozen pops)– delight in!
